CURRENT GUILD PROJECTS

Members are again busy working on the Anything Goes Quilt Show Challenge.  Participants were given a half yard of the challenge fabric (a pretty green and blue print that was purchased at Debb's North Country Quilt Shop).
They can make any size project, and can add as many fabrics as they would like, as long as the challenge fabric is located somewhere in the quilt.  Also, they must enter it in our upcoming quilt show.  There will be a special catagory for the Quilt Challenge.  Good luck ladies.  The entries at our last show were
spectacular.
We are looking for quilters from the area to enter your work in our upcoming show stay tuned for more information.

Row Quilts 2009
The Material Girls have started their new year with a fun Round Robin Program.  We are once again doing a Round Robin Row Quilt Swap.
This years theme is unique as we will be doing a 4 month swap
with a four season theme.
Members worked on their first row which was Spring.  Everyone bought their bags with fabric and their rows as well as any instructions for members to work on.  Numbers were picked, and bags were swapped.  Now the fun begins.  Members are now  working on one of their sister members quilts, and on the Summer Row.  They are to use the fabric which is in the bag, and  may add one of their own fabics to accomplish the row.
This is a very fun project, members are to complete the rows using techniques that they are familiar with, and have the completed rows ready for the next meeting.
It is still not too late to jump inot this project.  Any member wanting to take part, must have their bags and rows ready for the next meeting.
These quilts should make a wonderful addition to our next Quilt Show!
BARGELLO WORKSHOP
Guild members are very excited about our upcoming Bargello workshop.  The workshop will be given by guild members who took Gail Mcclure's worshop last fall, and will be held on our October Sew Day on October 17th
at 9:00 AM at St Kieran's.
These quilts turned out beautifully, and looked great in our last show, members have shown an interest in having another workshop, and it has finally become a reality.
Arlene Lambert gave out handouts at our last meeting, and members need
to cut their fabric and have it ready for our next sew day.
This should be a fun workshop!
